Version 1.1 has been updated to calculate either for the original Enterprise (NCC-1701) or the newest Enterprise (NCC-1701-D) using UltraDrive Warp engines.
Select the Star Ship; put in the distance (select either Light-years or Parsecs); then click on the desired warp speed. The travel time will then be computed and displayed.
Have you ever wondered if Captain Kirk or Captain Picard knows what they are talking about when they quote a certain distance at a certain speed can be covered in a set amount of time????? Example: "Number One, that's 23 light-years away! Why, that will take 3.5 days at Warp 9!"
Well, wonder no more! With the Warp Speed stack you can compute the actual time to cross a given distance at a given speed using the official warp speed factors given in "The Making of Start Trek" for the old Enterprise (NCC-1701) or the NEW warp speed factors for the new Enterprise (NCC-1701-D). (Many, many thanks to William F. Martin III for digging out the original speed factors and sending them to me! The new warp speed factors came from a reprint of a Paramount memo detailing them).
This stack is freeware. Feel free to copy and distribute this stack for non-commercial purposes. Drop me a line at any of the above addresses if you find this stack fun to use, or have other comments.
